If you are “mortgage qualified” and based probably in the Thames Valley and looking for a full or part time flexible role selling principally "Buy to Let" mortgages on a self employed basis from your home base, whilst being well supported with an administration team– then please read on!
We are a small but growing company, specialising in "Buy to Let" as well as other non regulated mortgages. With an FSA Licence, we also do Home Loans – but presently only to assist favoured clients to pursue their “Building a Portfolio Plans” or for referrals from them. We do not have ambitions to become even a medium sized company. Our aim and forte in life is simple - to give excellent advice, enjoy ourselves, make a decent living and work with a small, conducive set of people.
Our clients and excellent systems are capable of supporting perhaps one or two additional consultants within the next year – firstly one physically located in the Thames Valley. Presently, consultants are based in Bourne End, Thatcham, Newbury and Southampton.
We do not market ourselves as Home Loan specialists nor do we seek Home Loans work because we loathe the bureaucracy being forced upon the industry, whilst fully recognising the need to give customers best advice along the lines of the FSA’s TCF principles. We pride ourselves on the quality of advice we give – which sometimes includes advising a client to stick where they are! (should a consultant join us who wants to specialise in Home Loans and Insurance contracts, all of us would happily channel that business to the new specialist directly!)
We have been trading since just before "Buy to Let" was launched. The Principals entered the mortgage market because they wanted to build up a portfolio of properties to let out and we have been successful in that market and have longstanding clients from all around the Country.
Our approach has been and is innovative, creative and based upon experience of being professional landlords ourselves with SPV’s. We give a “First Class” service to our clients and they come back to us for advice and they recommend their friends to us.
We started in Bourne End, where our “HQ” is based. We have a small processing office in Thatcham, which does DIP’s, Full apps, packages for several lenders and is run by one of our shareholding Directors who is an ex senior underwriter for a major "Buy to Let" lender.
Whilst we talk by telephone and email each other frequently, we have a “web based database” which tracks the essence of every conversation and client details from the first contact to completion of the loan and has an easy to use “follow up system” to prompt us all into action at the appropriate time as well as other useful benefits
The system even captures proc fees and their payment! A consultant working with one of our clients retains 30% of the fee or 70% if it is one of their own clients. We have monthly meetings sometime addressed by BDM’s sometimes to discuss issues arising. We are able to arrange “cover” for each other in times of holiday etc.
